Our Program Team in Arsal
Nawar and Fatima
Nawar S - Program Facilitator for Women's and Children's Programs in Arsal, Lebanon. As a young child who fled the war in Syria with her mother Fatima and family, Nawar was a program participant in Majd Kamalmaz's chidren's trauma relief program at IIPD in Arsal. Nawar is now attending college, studying Early Childhood Education and Nursing. She assists Fatima in the Women's Programs and is the lead facilitator for the Children's Peacebuilders Program. Her sweet gentle yet firm spirit provides the children with the guidance and coherence needed to truly be in Peace.
Fatima A - Program Director of Be in Peace in Arsal Lebanon. Fatima worked with Majd Kamalmaz as his Program Director of the Women's and Children's Trauma Relief Programs at his International Institute for Psycho-social Development (IIPD) in Arsal, Lebanon. Fatima and Renata met in Arsal during Renata's visit there in 2017 and formed a bond of friendship that has continued through the creation of Be in Peace. Fatima has helped develop the programs she facilitates through Be in Peace, and has been recently certified as a Train the Trainer Master Program Facilitator. Her value and compassion for our beneficiaries has been immeasurable and without her, our program could not succeed. The numerous testimonials the program graduates provide about the transformative impact Fatima and our program has had on their lives speaks volumes to her value and care.
