Meet Our Board of Directors
Renata Crescenzo, Board President and Co-founder of Be In Peace, is a Well Being Stress Management Coach and Technology Training Consultant who worked with Majd Kamalmaz in Lebanon in 2017 to develop a stress and trauma relief program for the elderly. She trained and is certified as a HeartMath® Certified Trainer, and Trauma-Sensitive HeartMath® Practitioner, and facilitates private and group stress management programs, technology training for senior citizens and weekly online peace meditations. She co-founded and leads a bi-weekly global online women’s group, Tomorrow’s Dawn, whose intention is to build coherent heart connections across the world, creating a “field” of love and support that bridges cultural, religious, language and geographical barriers. Renata helped conceive and write our 4-week pilot program, Be in Peace Stress Management Training, and manages the Be In Peace website, social media, and fundraising drives for the organization.
Dr. Rachida Faid, Board Secretary, is an educational linguist, interpreter, translator, and spiritual consultant who has a PhD in Curriculum, Instruction and Administration from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, a PhD in Linguistics & a Master’s in English Language and Linguistics from Université de Sorbonne, France and a Bachelor’s in English Literature and Language from Morocco. She is fluent in English, Arabic, French, and Spanish. She currently serves as a spiritual care professional practicing spiritual clinical hypnotherapy, and as a Reiki Master, and spiritual life coach who practices worldwide including Turkey, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Jordan, Western Europe, and Latin America. She is a Peace Advocate and has served on the Board of a number of humanitarian non-profit organizations.

Neshama Friend, Board Officer, is a Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LCSW, who specializes in the counseling of depression and anxiety, with more than 30 years of experience handling cases of grief, trauma and PTSD. In the 1990's, she developed and ran the "Families First," program, a state funded daycare for children in Connecticut. In more recent years, Neshama traveled and participated in "Journey to the Heart of Israel-Palestine" with the Compassionate Listening Project, a delegation who provides the gift of listening and in exchange, receive an education in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and ways to support peacemakers on the ground. In addition, she also serves on the Advisory Board of the Self-Worth Initiative.
