Our Mission and Vision

Our Mission

To support people affected by trauma as a result of conflict or disaster by strengthening psychosocial development, basic needs, and peace building within and across global communities.

Our Vision

A world where all people feel at peace, with enhanced well-being and the power to achieve their full potential

Our Values

We believe in:

We are:

We believe that healing trauma and increasing compassion and empathy within communities are crucial to build and maintain peace at an individual, community and global level.

Be in Peace is a grassroot, 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, non-profit charitable organization that develops and delivers trauma relief and peacebuilding programs for those who’ve faced loss and trauma from war and natural disaster. We help people who are suffering find inner peace, safety and comfort, through developing self-care skills in emotional mastery and coherence …the syncing and balancing of the heart / brain and Autonomic Nervous System. We work with communities affected by conflict and disaster around the world, bringing people together in community for inner peace, emotional self-regulation, and peacebuilding.

What We Do

We support conflict and disaster affected communities by:

1)   providing training and support for trauma relief and peacebuilding in response to locally identified need, partnering with local community groups and NGOs

2)  providing relief of extreme poverty through provision of food and basic needs alongside psychosocial / mental health support

3)  supporting peacebuilding and community cohesion to break down barriers and bring people together

We bring people together, bridging gaps and conducting inter-community peace-building through our small team of volunteer peace-builders while also inspiring empathy in the global community for those affected by conflict and disaster.

According to UN Secretary-General, Antonio Gutierres, “there are now 80 million refugees around the world, making this the world’s worst humanitarian crisis in history.”  “The overwhelming majority, 84% of the world’s refugees, are hosted in developing regions and their access to quality mental health care was already very limited even before the pandemic. Now ... the need to invest in …mental health … is as critical as ever,” said UN High Commissioner for Refugees, Filippo Grandi.
