Our Ongoing Programs
Be in Peace has developed and facilitates two psychosocial support programs based on the heart-centered training programs created by award-winning trauma therapist Majd Kamalmaz. Be In Peace programs support women and children who suffer from anxiety, stress, bedwetting, and those who need help learning to regulate their nervous system and emotions. The programs are led by staff who have received training directly from award winning trauma-psychotherapist Majd Kamalmaz and have years of experience implementing these programs at his former Center.
Our 4-week Be In Peace Stress Management Training Program for Women, survivors of the Syrian War, began in November, 2023 and has reached more than 350 women in Arsal, Lebanon, teaching them strategies and HeartMath® based self-regulation techniques to ease their stress and trauma ... learn more
The Be In Peace Peacebuilders Program for Children teaches children about the power of their heart and emotions. Using HeartMath self-regulation techniques, storytelling, and interactive play, the children learn an emotional vocabulary, how to self-regulate their emotions and how to bring peace to themselves, as well as their families, community and reverberating a field of peace into the greater region of the Middle East ,,, learn more
Special Programs
In addition to our ongoing foundational trauma /stress relief and peacebuilding programs described above, Be in Peace develops special group psychosocial support programs and provides basic needs such as war clothing, toiletries and food in response to local and global events:
In October 2024, Be in Peace developed the Emergency War Relief Project in response to the conflict bombings nearby to our center in Arsal which displaced local refugees who had been previously displaced due to the Syrian War. Our Be in Peace Facilitator team traveled to local displacement shelters to meet with small groups of women from the nearby towns who were impacted. Be in Peace provided stress management training for the Moms, playtime and snacks for the children and basic needs gifts for the family ... learn more

Celebrate and Support Children
World Peace Day, also known as International Day of Peace, is a global celebration held each year on September 21st. Be in Peace hosted its first community peace celebration in Arsal, Lebanon. This community World Peace Day Celebration included song and dance presentations, a children's play about reconciliation and peace, and various peace building activities, as well as a community HeartMath coherence meditation, where our coherent community radiates feelings and intentions of peace into the world! learn more ...
